The Jane Austen Collection

I have always been inspired by the classics. I love classic literature, poetry, furniture, art, and architecture. I also live in a town where old Victorian homes are everywhere. Then “Little Women” and Jane Austen movies came out – that was it – I was hooked. I longed for items that would inspire that magical time of romance, lace, and sophistication. When I could not find items that reminded me of that time – I made my own.

I create one of a kind items. I choose vintage and used items that I find in thrift stores, such as old table clothes, napkins, linens… I make the old new again. I like the look and feel of the fabrics. I like that it is “re-used” and when it finds a new home, and becomes a new treasure. All designs are my own art, it is as if the fabric or item is telling me what it “wants to be”!
